Hi! For this week’s blog, we have to talk about how what we learned in media has affected other places in our lives. Some of the things I’ve learned is that you get out what you put in, procrastination is a deadly killer, and you can’t win them all. Now let’s get right into this blog. So my first lesson I thought of is that you get out what you put in. If you put in minimal effort to get something done, it's obviously not going to turn out very well. The opposite goes for if you actually put lots of time and hard work into making a video. You have to work hard through the whole process because if you only work well in the pre-production and filming, but don't try in the editing, it can still turn out bad. You have to work hard the whole way through.
My second lesson is that procrastination is a deadly killer. Everybody procrastinates. Even if we know we're procrastinating, we still do it anyways. I know that for a fact because I've done that countless times everywhere. But I still do it anyway. If you have the chance to procrastinate, don’t. You'll just be sabotaging yourself. My third lesson is that you can't win them all. If you try really hard on a video, there can still be a small chance it doesn't do well. Like STN. You practice countless times, putting in lots of time to hone your skills, but during competition, that's where you put everything on the line. You can't always get a story. You can't always have a great story to work with, but you have to work with what you have. Even if you put in 100% and try your dang hardest, you can't always have an award winning video. Even though it may suck, that's just how life is. Well that was my blog about the lessons I’ve learned in media that affect other places of my life. My lessons were that you get out what you put in, procrastination is a deadly killer, and you can’t win them all. Well I'll see you in the next blog. Toodle oo!

Hi! Welcome back to my site for another blog. This week's blog topic is about what we chose for our family night video and why. I as thinking of showing our 3rd STN practice video. Some reasons why I was thinking of showing this was because it was our best practice, it was a pretty good story, and we learned a lot from making that video. Now let's get into the blog.
My first reason was because it was our best STN practice. Our first two STN practices were alright, but we could've improved a lot on each of them. Inour third practice though, we put many of those improvements into that video. Then when it came time to review the videos we could definitely see it was our best work so far. Those first two practices reallly taught us a lot. My second reason was because it was a pretty good story. I feel like it was a pretty good at package. The interview was really good, we improved on our B-Roll, and it was overall a good video. The person we interviewed also had an interesting story tying into our idea of making each day count. He had a heart condition so he had to make each day count. My third reason was because we learned a lot from making that story. Even though it was our best STN practice that year, we still could've improved on it. I think we could've played around with the audio a little more and fix it. We also could've spaced out our ideas to make it not seem like the y were part of the same idea. There were other things as well that could be easily fixed. Well thats why I chose to use our 3rd STN practice in family night. I chose it because it was our best STN practice, it was a pretty good story, and we learned a lot from that practice. I hope to see you in the next blog. Bye! Hi! Welcome back to my site for another blog. This week’s blog topic is about a STN reflection. There were a lot of highlights, but my favorite parts were when it was snowing, when we competed, and the hockey game. Well then let’s get right into this blog!
Well the first highlight I’m going to be writing about is when it snowed. When we woke up, it didn’t really look like it snowed, but that was only because all of the snow on the street was melted or wiped away. When we went downstairs to get breakfast though, we could see it was snowing and there were piles of it on the cars. Once we were done with breakfast all of us went outside and had a ton of fun in the snow. After that was finished though, we went back inside and relaxed for a while, but it was so fun we went back outside again and me and Evan slid down the hill, but a little more slides later he ripped his pants and that was the end of that. The second highlight was when we competed in the competition. In competition, we had 30 minutes extra because we picked up our packet early, so we made questions and all that stuff during that time. I didn't even know we could start asking people for interviews in that time, so we lost a pretty good amount of time looking for interviews. Since we didn't know we could ask in that 30 minutes before other people got to interviews first. One other thing I learned is to ask tons of people for interviews and ask of you can take B-Roll of them. Asking follow up questions are also very good to sort of steer them into saying what you want them to say. My last highlight was the hockey game. The hockey game was just really fun. The atmosphere in the stadium was just really cool and I loved it because it was like the perfect temperature. The game was really exciting as well with the fighting and the people crashing together into the walls. My favorite thing though about the game were the chants. The chants we're just the icing on the cake after the Predators scored a goal. In conclusion, I had three highlights of the trip. The first was the snow. The second was the competition and the third was the hockey game. Well that's it for this blog, I'll see you in the next one. Bye! Hi! Welcome back to my site for another blog. This week’s blog topic is about our new goals for this new quarter. Last quarter I didn’t do any blogs, so this quarter, I want to get on top of assignments more, not procrastinate as much, and make more than 1 draft per video. Now let’s get into the first goal. My first goal is to get on top of assignments more. Last quarter, I didn’t do any blogs. That’s a big problem. I kept putting my blogs to the side and kept forgetting about them, and in the end, didn’t do a single one. This quarter I’m going to try not putting them to the side, and doing them in my free time.
My second goal is to not procrastinate as much as before. Sometimes I push a lot of assignments off until it’s almost too late to start it already. I started some assignments early too, but I want to start doing all of them early. That way I give myself way more time than before and be able to put more effort into it. My third goal is to make more than 1 draft per video. This ties in with my other two topics because it would require not procrastinating, and staying on top of assignments. With more than 1 draft per video for everything like scripts and the video itself, I can make revisions, and make the video better than the first time I even make it. Well that’s it for this week’s blog on what our goals are for this new quarter. This quarter I want to get on top of assignments more, not procrastinate as much, and make more than 1 draft per video. I’ll see you in the next blog. Bye! Hey! Welcome back to my site for another blog. This week’s blog topic is about what has been the most difficult challenge this year. Since we have a smaller class this year, we have to do more inside scoops, more morning announcements scripts, and do more morning announcements. Well let’s get into the blog! It’s been kind of hard to keep up with morning announcements. Since we have less students this year, we have less announcing teams and teams that work the behind the scenes action. With this, means we have to be early to school almost every week, but I usually arrive either before 7:15 or like 3-5 minutes after.
With us having to do morning announcements more and more, we have to do way more Kahoot games as well. I believe each partnership last year only had to do like 2 or 3 Kahoot games in the whole year. Well this year, it’s not even the end of the quarter and we are already done with the first Kahoot game and have to immediately start making a new one. This involves making scripts, slides and questions over and over again. We also have to do about double the amount of inside scoops from last year. This year we have 10 less.students from last year. We only did 3 or 4 scoops last year, but this year we have to do like 7 or 8. Also this year, we have to have 2 different partners for scoops, so one time, you might have to do 2 scripts in a row for 2 weeks, which can be a lot to handle. Well overall, we have a lot more work to do this year than last year, which just means we have no time to procrastinate, like most of us probably always do. Rotations for everything just goes by very quickly and once you finish a script for one thing, you have immediately move on to the next script for something like your video or your inside scoops. In general, we have to make a lot more scripts for all of the things we have to do. Well that's all for this week's blog. I'll see you in the next one. Bye! Hey everybody and welcome back to my site for another blog! It’s a new school year and that means new goals for this year. My three goals for this school year are to turn in everything on time, get all A’s at least one quarter, and try to sleep earlier. My first goal for this year is to turn in everything on time. This is basically to not procrastinate on every assignment ever. I procrastinate alot and it has been a really bad habit. So I need to at least get started on work ahead of time, so I can get a head start when I actually get to it.
My second goal is to get all A’s in at least one quarter. Sixth grade felt kind of easy for.me to get lots of A’s, but judging by first impressions of my classes, seventh grade isn't going to be as easy. We're not even that far into the school year, and we already had to do a writing, and then had to start on a writing. Then accelerated math has lots of work as well, so I have to very mentally prepared. My third goal this year is to try to sleep earlier. In the summer, I usually went to sleep really late and woke up decently early. I still feel like I have that habit from summer still, and it seems kind of hard for me to go to sleep at night really early. Whenever I want to go to sleep, is the time when I feel most energized, so that doesn't help either. Well those were my three goals for this new school year. My goals were to turn in everything on time, get all A’s for at least one quarter, and sleep earlier. This was my first blog of this school year and hopefully more to come that are actually on time and aren't late. I hope you enjoyed this, and I'll see you in the next blog. Bye! Hi! Welcome back to my site for another blog. This week we only have to do a free blog, and I'll be doing it on one of my favorite YouTube channels of all time, Team Edge. I really like this channel because they really do creative stuff and venture off from kind of mainstream things like video games and play things like board games sometimes and mostly make up some of their own games. For example, one of my favorite videos is don't hit the human. You gather points from not hitting the person, and if you do you get points deducted. All of their videos seem so upbeat, energetic, and always so happy. I think one reason for this is that they always seem to be enjoying themselves, and the casual jokes in there just make it all the better. I would definitely watch them if I were you. They also have other channels so you can get more of that action in other places. Well that's it for this blog. I'll see you in the next one. Bye! Here is their latest Don't Hit the Human Challenge Hi! Welcome back to my site for another blog. This week we have to write about the top three things I learned in media. The most important thing I learned is that procrastination always kills you, no matter what, hard work pays off, and the more you put in, the better the outcome. Those were my three things I learned this year in media. Now let's get into it.
Procrastination always kills you. I learned this the hard way because I always procrastinate and wait till the past minute for almost anything. I put work to the side to do other things, and then I forget to have to do something and I usually remember when it is the last minute. For example, this blog was late because I forgot I had to do it and just remembered about it when I was in bed already. Procrastination is a really bad habit I've gotten into, and I've had this habit my whole life and it's a hard on to shake. Another lesson I learned is that hard work pays off. For example, I went to almost every fundraiser and only had to pay a small amount when we had to pay for the trip. This shows that hard work can quite literally "pay off." The third lesson I learned is that the more you put in, the better the outcome. This is kind of like hard work pays off where the harder you work, the more you get out of your work. If you don't put any work, chances are you'll get a bad grade, but if you put all this time and effort into it, you'll most likely get a good grade. Well those were the three things I learned in media this school year, procrastination always kills you, no matter what, hard work pays off, and the more you put in, the better the outcome. This was a really fun and stressful school year, but I learned a lot and had a great experience. That's the end of this blog. I'll see you in the next one. Bye! Hi! Welcome back to my site for another blog. This week’s blog topic is about what video we are going to show for the family night video and why. I’m going to be showing Carter and my 2nd STN practice. I’m going to be showing this because it really got me into thinking about what it would be like in the real competition, that unexpected things could happen, and we just have to be prepared for anything.
I’m going to be showing our 2nd STN practice because it got me thinking how it would be in the real competition. In this practice we had to find a story about patience. In the first hour, we couldn’t find a story because everybody we asked would reject us because they were either too busy, or didn’t have the authority to let us film. This was very frustrating and really got me into thinking that things didn’t always go as planned. We had to go to our last resort and only had about an hour to film. This also taught me that unexpected things could happen at anytime. During the time we were recording B-roll, the weather changed. In the first half of the time we were filming, the weather was okay, but it seemed like it was going to rain. Then while we were packing up it started to drizzle, and by the end of packing up it was raining way more than before. We have to be prepared for anything that might happen such as equipment issues. We have to prepare for things such as packing extra batteries and making sure our equipment works. If we don't, then we are just chancing it and we're not 100% all our gear is ready to go and we have extra precautions. I decided to show our 2nd STN practice video because in the making of the video, it taught me a lot about the experience we might have in the real competition. It really got me into thinking about what it would be like in the real competition, that anything could happen, and we just have to be prepared for anything. Well that's it for this blog. I'll see you in the next one. Bye! Hi! Welcome back to my site for another blog. This week we only have to do a free blog since Mr. M didn't post the blog topic. Today I'm going to be talking about my favorite and only blog channel that I watch. The channel I'm talking about is VlogAfterCollege. He's a college graduate, originally from Hawaii, but later moved to his apartment after finishing college. One of the main reasons I love watching his vlogs is that he is always energetic and happy along with his dog, Gatsby. They are also creative, and not too mainstream with all the things he does in his vlogs. He also does lots of things in his blog like cooking and hanging out with friends, so the vlogs are almost always nice and long. He doesn't post a blog everyday, but that's not really a problem. To get some of his shots, he says he gets a selfie stick, and sometimes records using his phone in it to get some shots running right next to the dog. I really love his channel, and would definitely show some people his channel. Well that's it for this blog. I'll see you in the next one. Bye! Here's his latest vlog Hi! Welcome back to my site for another blog. This week we have to talk about where we are at with our Kaua'i Grown project. I'm on the videography team, so I have to work on videos about these people who use Kaua'i Grown products. Kai and I are almost done with our script on Guy Higa and nearly on to editing, I need to make sure everything is the best it can be, such as the 5 points and the script, and we still need to get in contact with our second person, Jeffifer.
We are nearly done with our script. We are so close to finishing our first draft of our script and are already done with our points. We are almost into editing the video. We've contacted our second person, Jeffifer, but she still hasn't gotten back. This week, to make some progress on our project, I'm gonna help with more of the script for Guy Higa and just be a pest to Jeffifer and try to contact her at least once a day. We really need to get in contact with Jeffifer since we only have a limited amount of time before the end of the school year. Some obstacles that are getting in our way of getting some work done is when we don't get responses from our people. When you don't get a response from your person, you really can't do anything because you can't communicate with them and set up an interview or some film times. Then we wouldn't have anything to do if we don't have any film. Well that's it for this blog. We are done with our points for our script, almost done with the first draft of our script and almost on to editing. To make progress this week I just have to be a pest to Jeffifer and try to contact her everyday. Some obstacles of not getting work done is when you try to contact someone, but they don't respond back or pick up. I'll see you in the next blog. Bye! Hi! Welcome back to my site for another blog! This week’s blog topic is about what we think our top 3 moments from the STN trip were. My third best moment was at Disneyland California Adventure on the California Screamin’ ride. My 2nd best moment was also at Disneyland California Adventure on the Grizzly Peak ride, and my best moment on the trip was at the STN awards when our team won first place.
My third best moment on the trip was at Disneyland California Adventure on the ride California Screamin’. This was one of the best rides I’ve ridden in a long time! I really loved all the drops and the speed the ride went. Some things I would wish for is to have bigger falls, more loops, and the roller coaster to go faster. It was still really fun, I just hoped it was faster, had more loops, and had bigger drops. My second best moment on the trip was at Disneyland California Adventure once again, and it was on the ride Grizzly Peak. We got to Grizzly Peak really late, so there wasn't really a line. Our first time around, I barely got wet, but on our second time around, I sat in the splash zone, and I was soaking. On our third time around I still got wet, but not as much as the second time. The whole third time around we were singing an acapella and it was pretty fun to do that. My best moment on the trip was when our Nat Package team with Carter and I won first place. On awards day I was really nervous, because our shots in the video weren't too good, but the interview and story were great. As they were reading through the winners, I became more and more nervous as they didn't call our school. When I thought we hadn't won anything, the announcers called our school's name.and we had won first place! I just got up and freaked out. That was definitely my best moment on the trip. Well that's it for this blog. My three best moments on the trip we're on the ride California Screamin’, getting wet on the Grizzly Peak ride, and winning first place at the STN. Convention. This STN trip has been very memorable, and I can't wait for next year. I'll see you in the next blog! Bye! Hi! Welcome back to my site for another blog! We’re a week away from the STN trip and I’m so excited, but also very nervous about the trip. I’m excited about competing, but the traveling part is what I’m nervous about. I’m scared I’m gonna throw up on myself again on either the plane ride, the bus ride, or both. There’s always that thought in the back of your head as well that the plane might crash in the middle of the ocean.
I’m excited about competing in Anaheim. This is a great experience to explore a city I’ve never been to before and see all these other media students from around the country. I like seeing tons of cameras and media equipment in one place. It’s just really satisfying.I’m also really excited about going to all these high quality and expensive hotels like the Hilton. I want to see all the high tech in the hotels. I’m excited about all the theme parks we’re going to. Disneyland and Universal Studios is always fun, but I’m actually kind of excited for the tours and that Disney stor making workshop. The roller coasters and all the rides where you get wet are my favorite because it’ll most likely be really hot, so the water will help me cool off. There’s always that thought in the back of your head that the plane might crash in the middle of the ocean and you might die. I don’t know why, but I’m always scared to go on to airplanes because there’s always that thought that the plane might crash. I have to force myself on to the plane, and then sometimes I get sick from the fear and throw up. Well that’s how I feel about this STN trip. I’m excited about competing, but the traveling part is what I’m nervous about. I’m scared I’m gonna throw up on myself again on either the plane ride, the bus ride, or both. I always have that thought in the back of my head that the plane might crash and might dieeee. That’s it for this blog. I’ll see you in the next one. Bye! Hi and welcome back to my site for another blog. For this week's free blog I'll be talking about a video I found on Youtube by the channel CineFix called, "5 Brilliant Moments of Camera Movement," hence the title of this blog. I was watching this video and was amazed at how such simple movements of the camera can tell so much more about the story or the plot or just show some information that kind of keeps you guessing as to what's going to happen. Just sit back and enjoy the video. That's it for this blog. See you in the next one! Bye! Hi! Welcome back to my site for another blog! This week’s blog is about how we think our teams did for the normal STN contests and at the Crazy 8’s practice. For the normal STN teams I think we worked together really well and got along. There weren’t really arguments and I felt like I was helping in getting some filming done. For the Crazy 8’s teams we need to get the final revised videos to the main editing team, the anchoring team, a lot quicker. Before, I thought we had to get like the first draft to them by 2:00 not the revised and final one to them by 2:00, but now I know what we have to do.
I feel our normal STN teams got along really well. There weren’t like really heated arguments about things and we didn’t even have a lot of arguments. We just got along really well and the only thing we really argued about was who was going to ask the people if we could do stories on them. We usually just settled it on one person going first and then rotating after every person. Our Crazy 8’s team should get the final and revised version of our stories to the anchoring team quicker. I thought that we had to get the first draft to them by 2:00, but I was wrong. We needed to get the the final version of the video to them by 2:00. Now that i know this we need to get things going more quickly and work faster. Knowing this I think one person from each Crazy 8’s team should just stay away from the group so the other two can edit and not have any distractions making them slow down. One thing I would like to do more in our Crazy 8’s team is film some b-roll. I didn’t really film anything at the location we filmed at. All I did there was kind of just ask the questions to the interviewee and make sure we had all the equipment and packed it all up. I would just really like to film some things and edit a little more b-roll. Well that’s it for this blog about how I think the normal STN teams went and how the Crazy 8’s teams went. In the normal teams we didn’t really have any issues and got along really well. In the crazy 8’s team I would just like to film more b-roll and edit more b-roll. There was also one suggestion for the future Crazy 8’s. I’ll see you in the next blog. Bye! Hi! Welcome back to my site for another blog! This week’s blog topic is about how we think we did on our PSA. I think I did pretty good on my PSA, but there are definitely some things I could have improved on if I gave myself more time. I think most of my shots were good, my audio in the beginning was good, but towards the end they were off, and I think my message was pretty clear to see.
I think most of my shots were good, except for some of the shots were out of focus and maybe a bit too long or short. Towards the end Ty was smiling when Lukas ran into him. I definitely could’ve redone that and asked him to not smile before getting run into. Another shot I could’ve redone is where Ty looked up from his phone and saw Lukas. His head kind of got cut off and I feel like it was a little too short. Other than that I think the shots were good. My audio was good for the most part until towards the end. For about half the video, the audio was pretty balanced and there weren’t huge volume spikes and drops. Then towards the end for the last one or two shots the audio was really off. In the last shot I could’ve lowered the volume of the game. For the last and second to last shot Ty and Lukas were really loud, so I could’ve asked them to maybe not scream or talk too loud. I think my message was clear to see. My message, “Look Around Before You Look Down” was about how you should watch where you’re going when you’re on your phone. When your eyes are glued to your phone screen you can’t look where you’re going and might run into something or someone, as shown in the video, and get hurt. I think my PSA showed that message well. Well that’s it for this blog on how we thought our PSA turned out. I think I could improve on some things, especially towards the end, and maybe did better. I think most of my shots were good, my audio in the beginning was good, but towards the end they were off, and I think my message was pretty clear to see. One of the lessons I learned from doing this project is to always start early so you can give yourself more time to putin the extra corrections, to go from good to great. See you in the next blog. Bye! Hi! Welcome back to my site for another blog! For this week’s blog we have to talk about how we think the morning announcements have been going for us and some ways we can make the announcements better for our audience. I feel like the transition to making the scripts and going on air has been harder than I had expected because I thought I could just whip up a script in like a week, but it was harder than that. I had to get all my information put it in the script, make sure the information was correct, and then had to kind of almost stalk the new announcements folder and make sure I got all the new announcements put in. Some of the things that we can do to make the announcements better for the audience is have a new intro, having the announcers be more relaxed up there, and keep showing some of the videos the class creates.
I think one way we can make the announcements better for the audience is with a new intro. We’ve been using the same intro for about half of the school year, and it gets boring over some time. I like the idea of having intros for like the holidays like how someone suggested a Valentine’s Day themed intro for February. This idea to me sounds really cool to have and play in the future. Another way I think we can make it better and more understandable for the audience is by having the announcers relax more. You know those times you talk really fast when you’re nervous to present or something, so you can get it over with quickly? I can totally relate to that because I’ve done that many, many times. Sometimes you talk way too fast though, and people can’t understand some of the announcements you are trying to say. If we talk slower and at a normal pace, that problem should be taken care of. A third way that makes the announcements better for the audience are the videos we show already. I just love it that we are showcasing some of our work for the school to see. For example, when we show the teacher profiles, the students can learn a lot about the teachers they love and hate sometimes. Then some of these students see our work, and they may be tempted to join media. Well, that’s it for this week’s required blog. Preparing for, and actually announcing was harder than expected for me, but this was only the first time, so next time I’ll make sure I’m prepared. Some of the things that we can do to make the announcements better for the audience is have a new intro, having the announcers be more relaxed up there, and keep showing some of the videos the class creates. Have a wonderful day, and I’ll see you in the next blog. Bye! Hi! Welcome back to my site for another blog! For this week’s blog, we have to talk about what “Good to Great” means to us, and how we can do this in the third quarter. To me good to great means you can already do something, but you keep on improving on that until you’re great at that skill. Some of the ways I can go from good to great this third quarter is by starting on my work earlier, being more efficient with my time, and making sure I’m prepared with everything.
One way I can go from good to great this quarter is by starting my work earlier. Sometimes procrastinating a bunch has gotten me in huge holes, and sometimes I don’t procrastinate on doing some things. If I want to turn in my work on time I have to stop procrastinating, and one way of doing that is by starting my work earlier. I usually waited till the last minute to work on things and I feel like it’s time to stop. Another way I can go from good to great is by being more efficient with my time. I have a lot of time on the weekends to work on some of the things I have to do, but what do I do? I usually just play on my tablet and wait till Monday to resume or start working on something. I need to take advantage of all this time to get some of my work done, and not have to worry about it too much later. A third way I can go from good to great is by making sure I’m prepared with everything for either the next day, or when I’m planning on filming. I’ve almost forgotten about some things on my way out of the house and that could’ve meant a disaster. I’ve forgotten a snack for recess many times now, and those are the times I really regret not being prepared for the next day. If I forget snack, I’m usually starving till lunch comes around and I can’t think straight sometimes. Well those were three ways how I could go from good to great this quarter. Some of the ways I can go from good to great this third quarter is by starting on my work earlier, being more efficient with my time, and making sure I’m prepared with everything. That’s it for this blog. See you in the next one. Bye! Hi! Welcome back to my site for another week of blogs! Last week we started doing the morning announcements, and I’ve got to say. I’m pretty scared. This week’s blog topic is about how we can make the morning announcements the best they can be. Some of the things that we can do to make the morning announcements the best they can be are practicing the night before you have to announce, being ready with your script about a week before you announce, and just relax when you’re up there.
I think we should practice our scripts the night before. This way you are already familiar with what you need to say the next day and more comfortable. Then you might not mess up as much during the practices and broadcast and don’t need to be told how to say some things. I think we need to be ready with our scripts about a week before we have to go up and announce. This way if something comes up then you can just add it in and not worry about adding that in and then finishing the rest of your script. If you only have a little time to get your script done before you have to announce then you will probably have to rush and make the script. This might make the script not too good. Just relax when you are up there announcing. When I’m watching the announcements I like it when people loosen up. This makes them look like they want to be there. Just seeing that makes the announcements look and feel more enjoyable to me. Well, that’s it for this week’s blog. To make the morning announcements the best they can be, I think we need to practice the night before we have to announce, be ready with our script about a week before we have to announce, and just relax when we’re up there. See you in the next blog. Bye! Hi, and welcome back to my site for more blogs. For this weeks blog topic, we have to look back on our second quarter goals and write about if we reached them or not. My goals in the second quarter were to stop procrastinating, study more for tests, and sleep earlier. I think I accomplished one of my goals. I only studied for tests more. I feel like I slept even later than before and I barely even did most things by two days before the deadline. My goals for this quarter are to finish my blogs on time, try not to procrastinate as much, and make more friends.
I really need to finish my blogs on time. I rarely finished my blogs on time and that really hit my grades hard. If I want to stay in this class and get good grades at the moment I’ll have to do my blogs on time. I need to try to stop procrastinating as much. This habit is really bad for me. I tried to not procrastinate as much last quarter, but that didn’t succeed. I made a whole plan of what I needed to do, and when I would do what. I just never got around to really doing any of my work until it was last minute. This just really has to stop, because next thing you know, I won’t be doing any of my work period. I want to make more friends. I only really hang out with one person at school. If I make more friends, then if one of my friends is out that day, I have somebody else I can hang out with. This might boost my self-esteem, and make me feel better about myself. Well, that’s if for this week’s blog. This third quarter, I need to finish my blogs on time, try not to procrastinate as much, and make more friends. I really want to accomplish at least two of these goals. See you in the next blog. Bye! I recently got this new phone called the Moto Z Play Droid and it's really cool. It's a new plnoe that just came out recently. It has some really cool features to it as well. One of them is if you do a chopping motion with the phone twice it turns on the flashlight. Another one is that it has a really large battery and a rather fast charging time. The other feature is that when you twist your wrist twice it turns on the camera. Shake your wrist twice again and you can switch which camera you're using. One of the coolest things about this phone is that it has thesse case attatchments. One of them is a phone speaker case. The thing is, the case attatchments are really expensive. It's really fun to use, and I definitely recommend it.
It's almost the new year, and I'm getting ready for my favorite holiday of the year: the last day of the year! This week's blog post is about what our favorite holiday is and, as you can probably already tell, it's New Year's Eve! I just love the noise, the fun of setting a firework off, and the beauty of the fireworks.
I love the noise of the fireworks. It just really excites me when there's a huge noise that excites and surprises me. It's also really fun to just scream at the top of your lungs and nobody can hear you over the noise of the fireworks. This helps relieve some stress if you're stressed out and sometimes soothing to me. It's really fun to set off a firework and watch it explode right in front of you. Sometimes I hold the handheld fireworks until right when they explode and when you throw it up in the air, they go off mid air and it looks like a shooting star. It just feels really good to watch this beautiful array of colors that was caused by you, which leads into my third reason. Watching the pretty colors just explode right before your eyes is a breathtaking experience. Nothing's better than seeing a wonderful light show right up close. It's really exciting too, since the sparks could make images sometimes. Well those were the three things I love doing on my favorite holiday. New Years' Eve! I love the noise of the fireworks, the fun of setting off a firework, and the beauty of the fireworks. That's it for this blog see you in the next one. Bye! It's Thanksgiving weekend! For this week's required blog post we have to write about what we're thankful for. I'm thankful that I have the necessities like food, I can go to school, and have some of the things that aren't really necessary, but are helpful. Now let's get into the blog.
I'm thankful that I have the necessities like food. A lot of people aren't as fortunate and they feel lucky some times to even be able to eat once in a while. We get to eat every day and have clean water to drink. Some people don't even have houses to stay. Where are they supposed to go if it's raining? I feel bad for some of the people that aren't able to provide the necessities in life. I can also go to school. A lot of kids don't have the chance to even go to school. Some go to school for some time then have to drop out for some reason. They might have to help with a buisness or their family just can't afford school for their children. This is very sad because they might not ever accomplish some of their dreamsif they don't have the right education. That's why I feel very fortunate to be able to go to school. I'm thankful to have some things that aren't really necessary, but are helpful. My family has a lot of electronics. We probably wouldn't be the same without them. Even though they're not required, they are big parts of our lives and I'm really thankful to have them. Those are the things that I am thankful for. I'm very fortunate to have these things. I am thankful that I have the necessities, I am able to go to school, and I have some of the things that aren't raelly necessary, but are helpful. That's it for this blog, see you in the next one! This week's required blog post is about what makes us uncomfortable. Already I'm really uncomfortable just thinking about doing this. Some of the things that make me uncomfortable is when I have to hang out with people I don't know too well, looking a teacher straight into the eyes, and when you get called down to the office.
One of the things that makes me uncomfortable is when I have to hang out with people I don't know too well. You don't really know that person so you don't know what they're going to do or how they're going to act. At the same time though, you don't want to do anything that would humiliate yourself or make people have a bad impression of you. That could ruin your chance of getting to know them better and make them avoid you. Looking a teacher straight in the eyes is really uncomfortable. I don't know what it is, but I just get really scared I might get in trouble or something when the teacher looks me straight in the eyes. It's really intimidating and it feels like they can peer into your soul and can see what you're thinking. Thinking this makes me really scared. I get really uncomfortable when I get called down to the office. You really don't know what is going to happen when you get to the office. You could be in trouble for doing something you didn't know about, or you could get gifts and prizes. Just all of the possibilities that can happen is really scary. Those are the three top things that make me uncomfortable. The things that make me uncomfortable the most are when I have to hang out with people I don't really know too well, looking a teacher straight in the eyes, and when you get called down to the office. This 2nd quarter I really need to step up my game. I did really good in all my other classes, but in media I really need to get on top of my work. This quarter I need to stop procrastinating, try to study for tests more often, and sleep earlier.
I procrastinate in every class and I think it's time to stop. Whenever I get homework, I always wait till the last minute to start it. Most of the time I start doing homework for the weekend on Sundays. This forces me to rush and not take my time. Then, the quality, in my eyes, is really poor for me. Even for my blogs. I always wait till Sunday. I even have to make up blogs like this one right now. I have to at least try to study for tests more often. Most of the tests I've had, I just winged it. I didn't even study at all. Now, I know the tests are going to become more and more difficult. I can't make this a bad habit where I never study for tests. That's just going to carry on when I get older, and the next thing you know I fail a test. That's why I need to start making studying a habit. I need to sleep earlier when I know the next day is a school day. Sometimes I only sleep 6-7 hours a night, so when it comes morning time, I can barely function when I get to school. I've almost dozed off about a total of 10 times by now at school. I've had to put cold water on my face to keep me awake, and sometimes that doesn't work. This second quarter I really need to get on top of my work. I need to stop procrastinating, try to study for tests more often, and sleep earlier. I know all of these things are very important, but I just never get around to doing them. Well that's it for this blog. See you in the next one. Bye! |
